Morning arrive at Wayanad by 7.00pm. After freshup and breakfast visit Edakkal caves. An interesting trek up the AmbukuthWayanad Homestaysi Hill near Ambalavayal town takes you to the fascinating neolithic cave site of Edakkal. Etchings found on the walls of these caves have drawn the serious attention of archaeologists and historians worldwide. After visit in Edakkal proceed to Heritage museum situated in Ambalavayal. There you can explore the entire Wayanad history. Later proceed to visit Soochippara waterfall. this 150 ft fall located in a forest near to Meppadi town. Pool at the foot of the falls is ideal for a quick dip. The more restrained can have equally good fun just taking in the scenery.

After breakfast visit Kuruva island, The Kuruva Island with 950 acres of evergreen forest lies on one of the tributaries of the Kabani.Collection of rare type of orchids and birds are the main attraction of this place. The island is home to various species of rare birds, orchids and herbs. After noon visit Banasura Dam. Considered to be the largest earth dam in India. Tourist can enjoy boating in the dam in a speed boat.

After breakfast proceed to visit Pookode Lake. Set in a beautiful valley and surrounded by evergreen forests and wooded hills, Pookode is one of Wayanad’s top visitor draws. This natural lake near Lakkidi is just a short distance off the National Highway 212. Spend few minutes at Lakkidi View Point. After this spot move to Thusharagiri water fall. Thusaharagiri water fall is located in the Western ghat’s wally. This stream originating from the western ghats and joint with Chaliyar river. This three steped waterfall have a height of 75 mtr.This spot provides a wide scope for trucking, natural walk,bird watching….etc.
